Delivery

How we deliver items depends on how much is in the order, where it goes, and whether you would like us to unload and install everything.

TURNKEY INSTALLATION

We can arrange for delivery via the appropriate truck (if the order is larger than ours), and unload and install everything.  This is typically the most expensive option, but you don't have to do anything in this case.

FULL TRUCKLOAD DELIVERY (FTL)

Typically a full commercial facility (restaurant, hotel, etc) requires enough furniture that it will fill all or most of a semi-trailer.  This type of delivery travels directly from our facility to your location.  In most cases, we will blanket-wrap restaurant booths and banquettes, and pack/skid tabletops, chairs, barstools, and table bases and load them onto a truck at our factory.  The customer then receives this truck and unloads and installs and assembles all the furniture.

Some things to keep in mind for a full truckload delivery:

  • Carriers are not responsible to help unload.  These are third-party truck drivers and their job is only to drive the truck.

  • At least 2-3 people are required to unload half a truck or less. 4-6 people are required to unload a full truck or more.

  • Carriers allow up to 2 hour per truck unloading time for large loads.

  • Unless specified ahead of time, liftgates are not included in freight quotes. If you require a liftgate, we need to know at the time the order is quoted so that freight charges are quoted accurately.

LESS-THAN-TRUCKLOAD DELIVERY (LTL)

If we are shipping smaller quantity of chairs, barstools, tabletops, and/or bases, the least expensive way to ship may be LTL.  We do not typically ship booths or banquettes this way, as the risk of damage is too great.  LTL shipment travel to one or more carrier warehouses, where merchandise is unloaded and later loaded onto another truck.  Items are typically on pallets and must be well protected.

Things to keep in mind for an LTL delivery are similar to FTL:

  • Carriers are not responsible to help unload.  These are third-party truck drivers and their job is only to drive the truck.

  • At least 2-3 people are required to unload half a truck or less. 4-6 people are required to unload a full truck or more.

  • Unless specified ahead of time, liftgates are not included in freight quotes. If you require a liftgate, we need to know at the time the order is quoted so that freight charges are quoted accurately.

DAMAGE

It takes us a lot of time and effort to make furniture, and no one is more heartbroken at shipping damage than we.  Our furniture leaves our loading docks in excellent condition. We securely wrap each piece with foam, bubble wrap, stretch wrap and depending on the type of shipment, we will also secure with cardboard and corner protectors. In addition, each pallet will have “no stacking” cones or labels attached.

Please inspect each item for signs of possible shipping damage, and follow the instructions included with the shipment if any is found.
